![]() An application fee is submitted after touring the school. Upon acceptance, an enrollment fee must accompany the enrollment form. Both fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Tuition is for the academic year (10 months), payable in 9 installments. There is a separate fee for the summer program (July & August).
Standards for AdmissionEach year students are admitted to the school based on the following considerations: The student is presently enrolled, a sibling of a presently enrolled student, in a Montessori program in another school, planning to attend for 3 or more years, and the student is next on our list for a requested program. Since there may be more children than available places in a program, within each category preference is given to those who commit earliest.
Additional Standards for Kindergarten & ElementaryKindergarten. Montessori education is completed in 3 year cycles. Students whose skill levels have appropriately developed in the first 2 years of the Primary program will finish their third year at the kindergarten level. During the third year, kindergarten level students attend 5 days per week. Students who have not been in the Primary program for 2 years but who meet the standards for public school admission to kindergarten, will also be considered for admission to the Montessori Corner kindergarten level of the Primary program.
Elementary. The elementary classroom is an advanced Montessori program for children in grades 1 through 6. The elementary children will have acquired basic language, reading, writing, mathematical and cultural skills in their kindergarten class. Students at the Kindergarten level in the Primary program, depending on their progress and being at least age 5 by September 1st, may be considered for taking their kindergarten year in the elementary classroom. Each student, whether in the kindergarten or elementary program, will be introduced to work at their skill level, working individually and in small groups. Student assessments are made throughout the year and the head teacher will determine the appropriate program for each student.
